Leadership Recognition

“Leadership in the OCDSB is the demonstration of personal initiative to achieve a positive outcome.”

Students

Our students at Greely take on a number of leadership roles in the school, including acting as lunch monitors, “reading buddies”, voice squad, kindergarten helpers, and fundraising for Terry Fox Run, Food Bank, and other causes.

Staff

The staff of Greely E.S. is a close-knit group of professionals who are dedicated to providing the best for the students at this school. They bring a wealth of professional and creative qualifications to our school. They are very caring individuals who actively seek out new programs and initiatives to enhance both student learning and personal development.

Even though it is a small school, staff members organize a range of extra-curricular activities such as sports activities, arts events and music clubs. Staff members also inspire students to be innovative and creative.  In essence, the staff at Greely uses their knowledge and experience to make the learning environment at the school the best possible one for the children who work and play here.

Parents/Guardians/Volunteers

Greely is fortunate to have a small dedicated group of parents supporting the needs of the school. Parents meet each month to coordinate Pizza days, fundraising, and child-centered activities such as the Winter Fun Day and the Holiday Fling.

The funds contributed to the school have provided many positive additions to the school. Over the last few years the parents have contributed extensively to our updated library and our expanding butterfly garden. Over the past few years, with contributions from the OCDSB, City of Ottawa, private donors and the amazing efforts of parents, our kindergarten and junior play structures were built. Community volunteers, including university students and retirees, are always welcome to share their gifts with staff and students at Greely E.S.
