Welcome to Greely Elementary School!
At Greely ES we thank the Algonquin Anishinaabe People, and respectfully acknowledge that our learning, playing, and growing takes place on their unceded, and unsurrendered territory, and we recognize their enduring presence on this land.
I am very happy to be a part of the great team we have here at Greely ES. I actually started my teaching career in the OCDSB at Greely back in 2006 so it's nice to be back working at such a fantastic place.
Greely ES is a K-6 site that offers an English with Core French program and a specialized Autism class. All together our student population is about 150 students. Our Greely staff comprises a principal, teachers, EAs, ECEs, an Office Administrator, Office Assistant, a Lunchtime Monitor & Custodial staff. Together, with dedicated community volunteers and OCDSB support staff, we work to provide a safe, inclusive, respectful and supportive learning environment. Our classes follow the Ontario curriculum, and I encourage you to regularly ask your child(ren) questions about what they are learning and how they are learning it.
Open communication is a big part of our student-school-community partnership and I welcome your questions and feedback any time. On behalf of the Greely staff, I can say that we are eager and excited to work with you to support your child’s learning and well-being!
Sincerely,
Bob Richardson
